Press Release: Hexigone Inhibitors awarded Prestigious Gold Sustainability Rating from EcoVadis

Hexigone Inhibitors, a manufacturer of ‘chemically intelligent’ anti-corrosives, has been awarded the prestigious Gold Sustainability Rating from Ecovadis. This result places the company among the top 5 percent of companies assessed by the organisation globally.

Since its founding in 2007, EcoVadis has grown to become the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, creating a global network of more than 90,000+ rated companies.

To achieve the Gold Rating, Hexigone had to undergo an in-depth evaluation from EcoVadis who evaluate the quality of the sustainability management system through four assessment pillars: environment, ethics, sustainable procurement and labor and human rights.

Marc Phillips, Operations Manager at Hexigone comments:

“We are pleased that Hexigone was awarded the gold sustainability rating from EcoVadis at first entry and evaluation, as sustainability is at the core of Hexigone’s product offer. We have robust policies and procedures in place and will also be utilizing our scorecard to improve business processes further. Our goal is to reach the platinum rating next year.”

Hexigone’s corrosion inhibitors were brought to market to replace heavy metals, phosphates, and toxic chromates with highly effective, environmentally favourable inhibitors. 40% of all new steel created is used to replaced steel damaged or destroyed by corrosion. The superior protection offered by Hexigone’s Intelli-ion® technology increases the product lifecycle of metal assets - reducing the drain on primary resources.

The company has patents for their technology across the globe and has recently joined the ‘Made In Britain’ network – a recognized mark of high-quality manufacturing and products from the UK. Additionally, they have been awarded the ‘Sustainable Innovation’ Award 2022 from the British Coatings Federation.
