News: Winners of the ‘Corrosion Innovation of the Year’ Awards 2021

Tonight, April 19th, Materials Performance (MP) Magazine announced the ten winners of their global Corrosion Innovation of the Year Awards 2021 – with Hexigone scooping a winning trophy!

The Corrosion Innovation Awards are run by Materials Performance (MP) – The Association for Materials Protection and Performance’s industry magazine. They are known to be the most prestigious awards for new and innovative corrosion technologies worldwide, so we are thrilled that Hexigone’s corrosion technology has claimed one of the ten spots in 2021.

The magazine received the second highest number of applications for the awards this year – each company had to prove that their technology has the potential to make a significant positive impact on corrosion control. Each nomination was rated by a panel of leading corrosion experts using a numerical scoring system with the highest-rated innovations receiving the sought-after award.

“The winners of our 2021 MP Corrosion Innovation of the Year Awards represent some of the most promising technologies in the industry today,” says Gretchen Jacobson, MP’s Managing Editor-in-Chief. “We congratulate all of our recipients for their achievement.”

Sean Reid, Commercial Director at Hexigone added; “We are thrilled to be recognised by AMPP’s Materials Performance Magazine - and their panel of corrosion experts - as one of the winners of this year’s Corrosion Innovation awards. Our technology replaces heavy metal inhibitors to provide an effective, sustainable solution to corrosion protection. Working alongside our partners, we offer end-users coatings that protect their metal assets for longer than other market-leading chrome-free inhibitors currently on the market”
